Series of public hearings «EU Strategy for the Danube Region and its implementation in Ukraine»
The series of public hearings “EU Strategy for the Danube Region and its implementation in Ukraine” was held in the framework of the project “Strengthening Civil Society Involvement in Assisting the Government with the Implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region” in 4 oblasts making up the Ukrainian part of the Danube Region during September 2014:
- Uzhgorod - 8 September 2014
- Chernivtsi - 10 September 2014
- Ivano-Frankivsk - 11 September 2014
- Odessa - September 2014
This series of public hearings was aimed to make local stakeholders familiar with the EUSDR and the Action Plan focusing on institutional capacity building in the Ukrainian part of the Danube Region, as well as potential benefits for local communities of the Ukrainian part of the Danube Region. As a result of these events, information on the awareness of local stakeholders of the EUSDR was collected and their vision of its implementation in Ukraine was obtained. Information collected during the events and direct dialogue with local stakeholders made a significant contribution to the development of a Comprehensive vision of the EUSDR implementation in Ukraine.
